design
Eric Egan specializes in the creation of comfortable and practical
living spaces, which not only feel like home but also suit the personality
and lifestyle of the clients. Eric maintains a close working relationship
with his clients and is able to offer the resources and expertise necessary
to deliver the complete range of Interior Architect and Design Services
from concept to completion. Services range from simple hourly design consultations
for the selection of paint colors or the redesign of a single room, to
complete top-to-bottom "turn-key" renovations.
Hotel design
In addition to residential projects, Eric works on the Design and Project
Management of 5-star luxury hotel properties. During his tenure with HBA/Hirsch
Bedner & Associates, where Eric was a Senior Designer, his projects
included the Hyatt
Regency Istanbul , Badrutt's
Palace Hotel in St. Moritz and the Grande
Bretagne Hotel in Athens, Greece. Currently working in collaboration
with Rome-based HDC/Hotel
Design Consultants, Eric is the Senior Project Director of important
five-star hotel projects for Starwood,
including the new Spa at the Westin
Palace Hotel in Milan and the Sheraton
Bonmont Hotel in Tarragona, Spain, the Sheraton Bonmont Hotel in Bonmont,
Spain, the Westin Alameda Valencia and the Sheraton Poznan, Poland.
Property consulting
The romance of buying a home in Italy can be overshadowed by the notorious
Italian bureaucracy and the complexities of coordinating long-distance
renovation projects. Eric Egan also offers a range of Property Consulting
and Project Management services. From his base in Milan, Eric identifies
properties for himself or clients and then restores them. So far Eric
has concentrated on Italian properties in Milan, Rome and Porto Ercole.
By coordinating Architecture, Planning, Interior Design, Project Management
and Landscape Design, Eric relieves his clients from having to oversee
and coordinate their projects. They are, however, still able to contribute
to the overall process and to be involved in all of the key decisions.
Eric's goal is for his clients to have total confidence in the final result;
he assumes full responsibility for ensuring time schedules are strictly
adhered to and that the work is carried out to the client's satisfaction.
In creating an elegant and comfortable environment, Eric Egan works to combine antiques, recuperated building materials and the best of today's modern furniture. Italy is famed for its highly skilled and experienced craftsmen for the repair, restoration and conservation of antique furniture and objects. In addition, Eric is able to provide his clients with access to the best sources for panelling, mantelpieces, parquets, ceilings, etc. as well as for timeless custom lighting, framing, fabrics, carpets and upholstery from Italy, France, Turkey, Morocco, Spain, Thailand, England and the United States.
